Summary

[General description] The brand new number 23 bus to Glenelg, with an open top popular at the time. It has the following advertisement for Berger Paints painted on its side: 'Berger's Roof Paints; They keep on keeping on'. It is a double decker Railways Bus, Garford Model CB with 57 seat South Australian Railways Workshops (Islington, Adelaide) body of 1926. Taken over by Municipal Tramways Trust, Adelaide, 1927 and renumbered 201. [From information provided] [On back of photograph] 'Double decker railways bus introduced by Railways Dept. on Glenelg route, 1926'.
