[General description] City buildings, traffic and utility wires with the General Post Office tower in the distance. Trams, cars and buses can be seen on the road. The nearest tram is the Number 220 to Enfield. Cars are parked at a 45 degree angle along the kerb. [On back of photograph] 'Reproduced in the 'Observer', Feb.19, 1927 / Acres 140, 71 / King William Street, looking south from Grenfell Street. / Feb. 1927' (Another hand) 'Near side of National Mutual Building is 26 1/2 yards south of Currie Street'.
