Summary

[General description] This is a view of the main street of Renmark, showing its town buildings and shops. In the foreground people sit in the shade of pepper trees in a small park. Transport is mixed with harnessed and riding horses tethered to rails next to parked cars. This photo was probably taken on the day when the Renmark-Paringa railway bridge was opened. [On backof photograph] 'Reproduced in the Observer, Feb. 12, 1927 / Renmark / Jan. 1927''.
