Summary

The last horse tram to Burnside of the Adelaide & Suburban Tramway Co Ltd. The tram-type wheels are visible underneath. The sign on the side of the tram reads 'Marryatville'. Note on back reads: 'The last horse tram to Burnside. Taken by Canon Robert W.G. Dempster outside St. Matthew's Church'. The Church can be seen in the background, behind the tram, and is located on Kensington Road, in the suburb of Kensington. The Rev. Canon Robert Dempster was the incumbent rector at St. Matthew's Anglican Church from 1901 until 1931. He was a keen photographer and President of the Adelaide Camera Club in 1916. The donor of the photograph was the Reverend's daughter.
