Summary

[General description] A man pushes a laden handcart past a one storey group of shops. A sign 'Grodts Corner' appears above the central doorway. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 210 / South west corner of Pirie Street and Hindmarsh Square / May 31, 1926 / Pulteney St. frontage of one storey shops: 20 1/2 yards. Pirie St. frontage of one storey shops: 33 1/2 yards.' (Another hand) 'All the premises including the two storey building on the left, but excluding the Globe Timber Mills on the right, were demolished in 1926. For view of the building erected on the site in 1928 see B 4858'.
