Summary

[General description] The newly completed Convent of Mercy Private School. It is a two storey building with one three storey section constructed of brick and featuring a motif on the wall with a geometric pattern including a cross. Three men (and a dog) pose outside the Old Colonist Hotel which is partially visible on the right. Mrs. H. McGuire is the licensee at the time. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 372 / Angas Street, north side, west corner of Chancery Lane / St. Cecilia's Hall and Private school / April 18th 1926 / Building erected in 1925. For view of premises formerly on the site see B 1108, B 1167 & B 2291 / Left side of building is 28.5 yards west of Chancery Lane.'
