Summary

[General description] A row of city shops featuring from left: Tregoning's Complete Home Furnisher and Ironmonger, a shop selling confectionery and cool drinks, Goldsworthy's Boot Store, O.K. Blum's Jewellers, and an Indian herbalist's. Old and new stand side by side at the kerb; a horse and buggy is parked with a car on each side. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 405 / Gouger Street, south side, west corner of Market Street / March 19,1926 / Far side of Blum's shop is 24 yards west of Market Street. The row of shops to the west of Tregoning's was demolished in 1927. For view of building subsequently erected see B 5032.'
