Summary

Franklin Street, south side. The cottage marked "3" was built by Bishop Murphy in 1847 and was known as Franklin Cottage. It became the first Convent of the Sisters of Saint Joseph, gabled wing added in 1865. "2" is Saint Joseph's School for the Poor; "1" is Saint Mary's Chapel of the Dominican Convent.
