Summary

[General description] This narrow wooden bridge spans the River Torrens which is very low at this time. Beyond the steep and eroded river banks are open paddocks, trees and buildings. Note the post and rail fences. [On back of photograph] 'Frome footbridge across the Torrens at the foot of Frome Road. Looking east with old Exhibition Building in distance. Photo. probably taken between 1863 and 1869 / For site of bridge see map of Adelaide in Boothby's Almanack for 1871'.
