Summary

[General description] A view looking across the Onkaparinga river with the swing bridge in the foreground. A few scrubby trees can be seen on the opposite bank, then cleared ground up to the top of the hill where the Anglican Church of St Philip and St James stands. Bishop Augustus Short laid its foundation stone in 1851. [On back of photograph] 'Chapel on the hill / Onkaparinga at Noarlunga.' (Another hand) '1926 / Reproduced in the Observer, Feb. 27, 1926.'
