Summary

[General description] The building on the left has been altered by the removal of its classical columns and pediment (see B 3328) and the addition of a cantilevered verandah. On the right is the new Register building, built in 1908-8 under architects Garlick and Jackman. [On back of photograph] 'Acres 142 and 141 / Grenfell Street, south side / Feb. 28,1926 / Showing Cowra Chambers as altered in 1925. (See B 2321) / Left side of Cowra Chambers is 2 yards east of James Place. Frontage of Cowra Chambers: 17 yards.'
