Information from researcher: 'The activity of men who push the sheep up into the shearing shed to be sheared was referred to in shearing jargon as "punching the sheep up" to the shearers to be sheared. This was the terminology used at Cordillo Downs, Arrabury station and Nappamerrie station, all in the same region.
