Historical information

Information from a researcher: 'The Cobb and Co Mail run started from Farina, formerly known as Government Gums (between Lyndhurst and Marree) and went south to Lyndhurst and around Lake Blanche than up into the Strzelecki Track to Innamincka before continuing onto Cordillo Downs in the north. Herman Schmidt was the mailcoach driver for many years including the date of this photo 1910. By 1914 he was running the Innamincka store'.
