Historical information

Information from researcher: "The 'Cobbler' is a stretch of soft boggy sandhills located in the southern portion of the Strzelecki Creek, far from Innamincka but still in Yandruwandha country. The sandhills in the photograph a pale-grey to whitish, whilst the sandhills gradually change colour the further you travel north going from white-pale-grey-yellow, light orange, orange, dark orange to red around the Cordillo Downs station region in the north. The red sandhill is due to a higher concentration of iron in the sand according to geologists. The Yandruwandha people call sandhill-Miri.
