Summary

[General description] Reverend Robert A. Caldwell was inducted on 4th August 1864 into a ministery in the Presbyterian Church that was to last for forty five years. He saw the original church in Mount Gambier enlarged once before Saint Andrews was opened on 10th December 1871. Reverend Caldwell was minister until 1909 when ill-health forced him to retire. He died shortly afterwards, his funeral was the largest Mount Gambier had seen, as all respected and admired him. [On back of photograph] Rev. R.A. Caldwell Presbyterian Minister Mt. Gambier.
