Summary

A class tram In Welbourne Street (at entrance to Princes' property), Mitcham, looking towards what is now Scotch College. [Trams did not reach Mitcham until July 1911. Information provided by Graham Jaunay.] According to another researcher, this tram is an MTT 'A' Class "Bouncing Billy" tram No 88 in Welbourne Street, approaching Albert Street. The image is likely to be dated pre 1917 due to the design of the tram destination sign. The design styles changed in 1917.
