Summary

Wedding party of William Henry Bennett and Eva Beatrix Staer on 8th January 1902 at Peterborough. The priest behind the bride and groom, standing in the centre of the photograph, is Reverend John Norton, later Roman Catholic Bishop of Peterborough. Thomas Bennett, seated next to the groom, was the owner of the Peterborough Times newspaper. Directly behind him is a lady in a large hat; behind her is the father of the bride, Frederick C. Staer, owner of the Peterborough Hotel (where this photograph was taken). The wedding ceremony was in St. Anacletus Church, Peterborough.
