Summary

A pioneer family are grouped outside their homestead. The mother, grandmother and baby are in the centre, with their pet sheep. Two women are in riding habits and are holding their [side-] saddled horses, whilst father and son are holding another horse. The slab and daub homestead has a thatched roof, and the smaller building with the stone fireplace is probably the kitchen.
