Church Street in Penola with part of the Royal Oak Hotel at left on the corner of Riddoch Street. On the right is the original Post Office building, and the premises of Matthew Clarke's saddlery, an impressive two-storey stone building which replaced his earlier single-storey premises (see B 23475). The building was later used as a residence by the Blight family, and was demolished in the 1930s.
