Summary

The Mayor, Mr. C.L. Spehr laying the foundation stone of the Electric Light power house at Mt. Gambier, on the 6th March, 1924. The location is at the east side of Ferrers Street, between Sturt and Commercial Streets, map 125, section 1103, allotment uncertain. Next door is D.J. Papworth's Wool Skin and Produce Store. Reproduced in the Chronicle, March 22nd, 1924.
