Summary

First vehicle to travel along the ocean beach from the Murray Mouth to Cape Jaffa. Reconnaissance of the beach was arranged by the 2nd Aust. Imperial Force in conjunction with the Royal Aust. Navy. The journey was made in an American Army jeep, under the command of Captain John Keith Angas.
