Summary

A large group of cars involved in a motor car picnic rally in the main street at Maitland at the start of their journey to Edithburgh. First Motor Car Picnic, using Argyll motorcars, from Maitland to Edithburgh Oval, organised by Duncan & Fraser Co. 22 October 1909. 'Over 30 Argylls drew up on the oval grounds. The cars left Maitland at 9 a.m. and arrived at Edinthburgh at 11.45 a.m.' [Source: 'Pioneer' Yorketown, 30 Octber 1909.]
