Summary

Early locomotives on the North lines "x" class engine - 3' 6" gauge. A researcher has provided the following information: 'Locomotive X47 entered service in 1882 and was condemned in 1904. My educated guess is that this is circa 1885, as the locomotive still looks quite new. Location unknown, but somewhere on the Great Northern line.'
