Summary

Grenfell Street, Adelaide, north side, on February 8th 1924. A tram is approaching, and a horse drawn wagon is plodding past parked cars. The tall building on the left is the Tattersalls Building, which had been increased to four storeys around 1917 [see B 93]. The small building in centre is the Alliance building which is soon to be upgraded. See B 3453 for the new Alliance building in progress, and B 4195 on its completion. On the extreme right a building is in process of refurbishment. See B 3453 for the completed building (on the right of the view). The left side of the Universal building is 44 yards west of James Place.
