Summary

River Steamer "Alexander Arbuthnot" partly submerged. River Steamer "Alexander Arbuthnot" partly submerged. Built at Koondrook in 1916 as a barge and was named after the sawmill's founder. She was fitted with an engine and superstructure in 1923. The vessel towed empty barges to nearby forests to collect logs which were cut into lengths at a mill. This boat worked until 1940s and sank in 1947. She was restored and currently carries passengers at the Port of Echuca.
