Summary

Chalmers Free Church of Scotland on the S.W. corner of North Terrace and Pulteney Street was built by architects and builders Thomas English and Henry Brown and opened on 6 July 1851. The foundation stone was laid by Rev. Gardner on 3 September 1850, the spire being added in 1856. In 1929 Chalmers Church united with Flinders Street Presbyterian Church to form Scots Church.
