Summary

Charlie Meyers of Alice Springs. He was an old identity of Alice Springs in the 1920's and 30's. He was a clerk of the racecourse, saddler by trade, also short time pastoralist. His boot repair and harness store can be seen in the background. Charlie was born Aaron Schunke. His first child was born in 1898 and named Dorothy Schunke. The second child was named Herman John Meyers in 1899 (from being born at Hermannsburg Mission). Later Charlie changed his name to Charles Henry Meyers
