Summary

National Bank of Australasia, Penola. The bank was established between 1860 and 1880. The two storey building is constructed of dressed rubble stonework with rendered stone quoins. The ground floor has semi-circular arched double windows while the first storey has square windows. The Directors of the National Bank secured the the most commanding location in the township for the new building. The plans were realised in 1866
