Summary

Port MacDonnell life boat and crew. Port MacDonnell was named after the Governor of South Australia from 1855-1862. In the 1880's it was one of Australia's busiest ports. The lifeboat crew was kept busy as a number of shipwrecks occurred in these waters. The lifeboat shed was built in 1863.
