Summary

The construction of Mount Hope drain. One of the largest drainage proposals is the Mount Hope Drain which drains the area between Rivoli Bay and Symon. A cutting was established in the Woakwine Range to allow the water to drain into a swamp near the Mount Gambier and Beachport railway line, into Lake Frome and then into the sea.
