Summary

Panoramic view of Adelaide from the Post Office Building, looking south east across Victoria Square. St Francis Xavier's Cathedral can be seen in the centre, next to a two storey house on the south corner of Wakefield Street. For a later view of this house see B 12679. On the left is the Torrens Building, built by the Government in 1879, and used by several Government Departments over the years including Harbours, Engineering and Land titles. Saint Andrew's Church spire appears on the extreme left, and Landrowna Terrace houses can be seen on the centre right. In the bottom right corner is a line of horse drawn vehicles, probably for hire.
