Summary

Wakefield Street, south side, 21 September 1956, building on the left with the balcony is 62.5 yards west of Chancery Lane, frontage of building together with lane and Sieberts premises is 14 yards. For a view in 1958 see B 14053. Frank J Siebert Funeral Directors has been owned and operated by the Siebert family since 1867. Joseph B Siebert migrated from Germany to Adelaide in 1867. As a builder he is responsible for several Adelaide landmark buildings. He turned to making coffins for undertakers and later his son, Francis Joseph, opened a second funeral parlour in Wakefield Street
