Summary

The Advertiser Sound Shell in Elder Park was erected in 1954 by Advertiser Newspapers Limited and was presented to the City of Adelaide. It is used for orchestral performances etc. . The sound shell was opened on the 17th December 1954 to commemorate the visit of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II.
