Historical information

John Gordon Pearson was a fuel merchant. He came to live in North Adelaide in 1936, and was selling firewood from 14 Stanley Street North Adelaide (Part of Town acre 1039). He purchased part of town acre 1040 also and he used this for the wood yard. He purchased part of town acre 981 in 1946 and this was his wood yard. He sold it to the RAA in 1956 and basically retired. John came from Victoria where his father was a hotel owner. He had two daughters, Sybil and Marjorie.
