Summary

[General description] The ES &A Bank building is sandwiched between two taller buildings, the one on the right being the Hampshire Hotel. There are young plane trees in the street [On back of photograph] 'Acre 311 / Grote Street, north side / 22 February 1954 / Right side of the ES&A Bank is 10 yards west of Bowen Street / Frontage: 10 yards / This building with only minor exterior alterations was converted from two shops to banking premises'
