Summary

Methodist Church at Goolwa. Lay Preacher Captain John Barclay filled the Methodist Church with 300 worshippers each Sunday and 200 Sunday School students in the 1860s. The church in Collingwood Street was built in 1861 at a cost of 699 pounds. It is built of local travertine limestone and has a corrugated iron roof. The bell is mounted above the front gable.
