Summary

Workmen employed in the construction of Beetaloo Reservoir. Beetaloo Reservoir is at Crystal Brook, 19 kilometres east of Port Pirie. It was built between 1886 and 1890 to supply the Yorke Peninsula. The original plan was to build the reservoir using masonry but eventually concrete was used. The project helped to ease the unemployment problem. Workers and supervisors were on site before the final drawings had been finished
