Summary

St. Mary's Church, Edwardstown. The original church was built and paid for by pioneers of the district. John Wickham Daw who arrived on the "Winchester" with his wife and children gave an acre of land for the first church to be built in 1841. He named it after his home parish, St Mary Abbots in Kensington. A more substantial building was opened in 1847. The 36 foot bell tower was completed in the1870's
