Summary

Portrait of A. Schmidt, one in a composite of 36 photographs of past members and officers of the Adelaide Democratic Club Inc. According to a researcher, August Schmidt ran a successful business as a cabinet maker and wood turner in Grenfell Street and lived in Chesser Street. He married Ellen Floyd in December 1852 and died in June 1906. To see the composite do a number search on B 12166.
