Summary

Richards' coach-building shop, Clare. Tobias John Martin Richards was a South Australian coachbuilder and motor body manufacturer who founded the company which would eventually form the manufacturing base of Chrysler Australia Limited. He married Matilda Emily Freeman in 1875 and they had 9 children. This photograph shows TJ Richards and his workers outside the Clare workshop surrounded by two wheel and four wheel horse drawn carriages
