Summary

Reeve's blacksmith shop, McLaren Vale. John George Reeves was the local blacksmith at McLaren Vale. He and his wife had seven children. The blacksmith premises later became Reeve's Garage and was run by John George Reeves grandson in the 1920's. John George Reeves was an employee of John Morgan who established a smithy, wheelwright and carpenters shop on the corner of Tatachilla Road and Main Road McLaren Vale in the mid 1800's. John George Reeves married John Morgan's daughter, Louisa Mary in 1883 and took over the blacksmith shop
