Summary

[General description] Head and shoulders portrait of Charles Henry Goode in seven eighths view. He was a businessman, merchant, politician and philanthropist. In March 1865 he was elected to the House of Assembly for East Torrens, later resigning to attend to his business interests. He founded Goode, Durrant and Company in 1882. He was involved in many philanthropic and religious enterprises, eventually being knighted in 1912.
