Summary

The Parade Norwood, looking east from the Old Parade Bridge which was erected over Second Creek in 1857. Note on the back of the photograph states "The Parade Norwood in about 1875 looking east from a point between Margaret and George Streets. In the foreground (left) is a parapet of the Old Parade Bridge which was erected in 1875 over Second Creek. Wooden footbridges for pedestrians were at either side of the Parade Bridge. The bridge extended to the full width of the Parade in 1879. At the end of the Parade is the Congregational Church which was erected in 1856. A larger church was erected on vacant land in front of the old church in 1883"
