Summary

Victoria Square looking at the north western quarter from the top of the Post Office Tower in March 1946. All of the trees (with the exception of a flame tree shown at the top right hand corner) were removed between March 27th and the end of June 1946 The statue of Queen Victoria can be seen in the middle of the road in the middle of the Square. The public convenience block can also be seen at the top of the photograph.
