Summary

[General description] Parkside Lunatic Asylum, now known as Glenside Hospital. This Gothic style building was designed by Government Architect Robert George Thomas and built of Glen Osmond stone in 1868, opening in 1870. In the foreground a man is at work in part of the extensive gardens which were part of the complex. [On back of photograph] 'Lunatic Asylum, Parkside / 1907-12'
