Summary

[General description] A group of men, some who would be the lighthouse keepers pose for the photographer in front of the the Troubridge Island Lighthouse and cottages, built in 1855-56. Troubridge Island is part of the Troubridge Shoal in Investigator Strait, between Kangaroo Island and Yorke Peninsula. Many ships were wrecked or grounded here before the lighthouse was installed.
