Summary

[General description] The Powder Magazine at Dry Creek is set in a desolate landscape. There were 10 specially designed buildings each capable of storing 30 tonnes of explosives laid out in a line with an earthern bank on three sides of each one to absorb and contain any accidental explosion. At that time the magazine was used to store explosives for quarrying, construction and mining.
