Summary

Government Produce Store, north eastern corner of Light Square, 2nd April 1942. The cooling tank, shown on the right was erected in 1941. Compare with B 3770 to see the site of the two storey building. The chimney to the left of the photograph was demolished in April 1942. The store is housed in a two storey red brick building with multi panelled glass windows, those on the first floor being arched at the top. On the right of the photograph stands a small building housing Willsmore Carrying Company Limited.
