[On verso] 'Port River ca.1877. Government tender 'Lady Diana' in foreground. In background is the Jervois Bridge in course of construction. The Jervois Bridge was constructed in the late 1870s and comprised of a swing bridge that allowed watercraft to pass through and access maritime infrastructure located on the upper reaches of the Port River.
