Summary

Buck's Head Hotel, North Terrace west, 17 August 1941. The left side abuts Gray Street. North Terrace frontage: 17 yards. According to a researcher, in the 1950's publican Ern Fahey registered the first hotel smorgasbord from there. It is reported that the Buck's Head also had one of the first hotel dance floors in South Australia.For a view of the petrol station erected in c.1949 on the site behind galvanised iron fence on extreme right of this photograph see B 12841. This hotel was also known as the Dolphin. Mrs Clarice Eileen Tisher was the proprietor at the time of this photograph.
